Frequently asked questions
How can I tell whether an electronic signature is valid?
A signature is valid if the document has not changed since it was signed, the signer's certificate was valid and not revoked at the time of signing, and it comes from a trusted provider. The validator checks exactly these points and sums them up in plain words.
What does qualified mean?
Qualified means the signature comes from a state-recognized provider and is equal to a handwritten signature: under ZertES in Switzerland, under eIDAS in the EU. The validator shows you whether that applies to your signature.
Does the check cost anything?
No. The check is free and needs no account. To keep the service from being misused, you briefly confirm once that you are human.
You work with signed contracts every day?
With collever you have contracts signed with legal effect and file them, with a validation report, in a tamper-proof archive.
